Trial Limits & Demo Data
When you start a Testkube trial you get a fully hosted environment, so you can explore the product without installing anything. To keep it free and instant to spin up, the trial runs with a few limits that don't apply to a self-hosted or paid Testkube deployment.
This page explains those limits and the demo data we pre-seed into your trial environment.
These limits apply only to the trial. When you move to a paid plan and connect your own infrastructure, they no longer apply - you run with your own resources and your own quotas.
Trial duration and limits
The Testkube trial lasts 30 days from the day you start it. During the trial, your account is limited to:
| Limit | Trial value |
|---|---|
| Duration | 30 days |
| Environments | 1 |
| Agents | 2 (fixed) |
| Users | 3 |
When the 30 days are up, the trial is paused - but your data stays put. Your workflows, executions, and results are all still there, ready for when you pick things back up. To keep going, just reach out to our team and we'll help you continue with Testkube.
The hosted trial runner
Trial environments come with an automatically provisioned, cloud-hosted runner, so you can run Test Workflows straight away - no agent to install. You can at any time connect your own runner in your own infrastructure.
The hosted trial runner is meant for evaluation only. It's a lightweight environment and is not sized for production workloads. For real testing at scale, connect your own runner/agent on infrastructure you control.
Resource limits
The hosted runner is capped at the following resources:
| Resource | Trial limit |
|---|---|
| CPU | 2 cores |
| Memory | 2Gi |
Because the runner is on a lightweight cluster, executions may be queued or run slower during busy periods. That's expected on the trial and doesn't reflect how Testkube performs on dedicated infrastructure.
Pre-seeded demo data
So you can see Testkube in action without building anything first, we pre-seed your trial environment with demo data. Example workflows and their results are already there when you first log in, so the dashboard, execution history, and insights are populated from the start.
Feel free to explore, edit, re-run, or delete any of it - it's there purely to give you a realistic starting point for your evaluation.
Moving beyond the trial
When you're ready for real workloads, connect your own agent so executions run on your infrastructure instead of the shared hosted runner:
